This year, we’re thrilled to present our 11 prestigious awards, including the Walter Washington Jr. “In His Shoes” Award. This bronze cast of Walter’s actual shoes is a poignant tribute to the dedication he showed to the communities we serve and is a reminder of the hard work we do to create positive change across the Treasure Coast.

Announcement: Keynote Speaker Jesse Leon

Jesse Leon is the award-winning author of I’m Not Broken and No Estoy Roto. His work chronicles his journey from surviving trauma, addiction, and homelessness to becoming a global advocate for healing, resilience, and cultural transformation. As a speaker, executive coach, and consultant, Jesse works with organizations across the world to build coordinated support systems for vulnerable communities, especially individuals experiencing housing insecurities and survivors of human trafficking. His storytelling blends lived experience, research, and hope, inspiring audiences to reclaim their power and rewrite their narratives.

The Treasure Coast Homeless Services Council (TCHSC) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit registered in the State of Florida. TCHSC is the lead agency to the FL-509 Continuum of Care and has a mission to prevent and end homelessness on Florida’s Treasure Coast, and to assure that if homelessness happens, it is brief and non-recurring. TCHSC partners with over 60 organizations across Indian River, St. Lucie, and Martin Counties to provide services to families who are at risk of or are currently experiencing homelessness.
